MOAB RIM

TRAIL REQUIREMENTS
Trail consists of rock, sand and considerable slickrock with many steps exceeding 30″. Steep inclines and declines are prevalent. Enhanced off road equipment is required including, machine minimum 60″ wide, tall tires (32″+ required), maximized vehicle ground clearance and suspension travel. A winch is advisable. Roll over and vehicle damage possibilities exist.

Directions to meet your guide: From Moab City Center, Head north on Main Street (HWY 191), and turn left at the light onto 500 north. Continue straight to the intersection at Kane Creek BLVD. Turn right at the stop sign onto Kane Creek Blvd and continue straight for approximately 2 miles to the Moab Rim Trailhead at coordinates 38.55888, -109.58304. You will meet your guide at the east end of the parking lot.
Parking: Attendees are strongly encouraged to trailer to the parking lot There is ample parking at the Kane Creek Recreation parking lot located at coordinates 38.53281, -109.60079. However this lot will be shared by drivers for Pritchet Canyon, Cliff Hanger, and Chicken Corners. Pay attention to park facing south, and start parking at the north end of the lot to leave room for incoming and outgoing trucks and trailers. Please park next to the trailers that are already there and do not leave large spaces between trailers.
